LadyCat was established in 2019 by Alexandra Nyman and is a fashion house located in NYC.

LadyCat is an op-ed style blog about fashion, mental health, tea, and politics. Alexandra is a leading addiction recovery thought leader and serves as the Editor in Chief of the sober blog, Soberocity. She is also a fierce mental health advocate and moonlights as a fashion designer in the television and film industries. She has also been privileged to collaborate with major influencers throughout

the tenure of her career. Her work has been featured in Brides, Green Wedding Shoes, The New York Times, VFiles, and at Six Flags. In addition to her work with Soberocity, she is a well-known cat lover and a strong supporter of the arts.

The Staten Island Urban Center’s DOVE (Domestic and Other Violence Emergencies) Program celebrated its fourth year recently with a powerful event that blended fashion, storytelling, and healing.

Hosted on May 17 on the picturesque grounds of the historic Alice Austen House in Rosebank, the afternoon served as a moving tribute to the resilience of domestic violence survivors and the community advocates who support them.

This year’s finale, “Styled in Survival,” was a collaboration with Alexandra Nyman, executive director of the Break Free Foundation. The highlight of the event was a unique walking tour, where fashion became the symbol for courage, advocacy and empowerment.
