The architecture of the city of Vicenza – aprox 50 ml from Venice – is signed in its entirety by Renaissance Architect Andrea Palladio: the aristocratic villas, the historical theatre, the Basilica with its panoramic terrace.
Neo-palladian inspiration has been a favorite of the US state architecture, from the US Capitol and the White House itself, to the Redwood Library and the Marble House in Newport.

The first Armadio Branded Collection is crafted entirely in the finest Palmellato leathers.
Palmellato (boarded) leathers are employed for luxury leathercrafting, pressing grain-side against grain-side of the leather with the aid of an instrument called “Palmella”, in order to obtain the typical cross-hatch texture, slightly rounder than that of Saffiano leathers. Palmellato leathers are certainly among the most resistant against scratches and stains (also water stains).

But there is a whole new generation of Makers willing to carry on traditional leathercrafting techniques, while bringing them up to date according to the latest trends and technologies. This year, it was an honor to have such talent at work on our first Armadio Label Collection!

In Italy, January 6th marks the end of Christmas holidays, on the day of the Christian Epiphany. Our Artisans will take down Christmas decorations and go back to full schedule!

Also, in tow of Santa Claus last night an old, ugly lady came for all Italian children: she is called "Befana", and she brings sweets to the good kids, and nasty coal to those who were rude to their parents during Christmas break. And then she ushers everyone back to school!
