Big announcement:

After over 10+ years of consistently being open to the public for 6 days a week, we’ve stepped back and taken some time to re-evaluate what it is we offer and where we’d like to head in the future. We’ve always had the intention of serving both our local community and our online community, but it’s become clear in the last few years that due to the evolution/growth of our business and the demands of operating this physical space we’ve woefully neglected our customers who can’t readily make it in to our brick and mortar shop.

After much deliberation, we have come to a place where we feel that we can better serve the whole of our customer base by narrowing down the days we’re open to the public. This will not only allow us the extra time and resources to revive our website and online offerings, but it will also give us the freedom to source and bring you more of the quality vintage goods you’ve come to expect from us, both locally and abroad.

That said, as of this week our new hours will be Thursday through Saturday, 11am - 6pm (we’re also entertaining the idea of scheduling appointment-only visits for serious buyers on the days we’re not officially open, but will flesh that out later).

Looking forward to the opportunities these adjustments will afford us and are ever so grateful for you guys bearing with us!

Sometimes it’s really hard to believe we’ve been at this for over a decade. The turn of phrase “time flies when you’re having fun” couldn’t be more true in this case. Grateful for everyone that stuck by us all these years and for those who just found us. Here’s to the decades in front of us and all the new friends we’ll meet along the way 🥂

Saturday set up. Open ‘til 6 tonight and then we’re gonna give it rest until Monday.

Working hard behind the scenes getting things ready for the winter season here at the shop. Fresh vintage cold-weather wear is hitting the racks daily and we’re working around the clock trying to get all our holiday staples restocked. All sizes in our shop tees are currently being printed and stocked, our signature shop candles will be poured and available at the brick & mortar next week and we’re continually sourcing all of the good dirt you’ve come to expect from Velour. Forgive us for not being more timely this year, but let’s be honest… are we really ever 🤷‍♂️

Picked up these late 1700s-early 1800s coin silver green tinted spectacles yesterday. Interestingly, in the 18th-19th centuries, tinted eyewear was not worn to protect against the sun, but rather to correct specific vision impairments and other various other ailments. It’s strange to consider that I’m holding a piece of eyewear that was worn prior to the civil war 😬

Now up for grabs - 1940s J.C. Penney Co. Pay Day union made sanforized chore jacket. This piece came to us farm fresh, smelling like an attic with seams coming apart, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we were able to verify that it’s made with narrow loom indigo selvedge denim. Now cleaned and repaired and ready for purchase. DM for more info.
