Good Morning Florida and Happy Labor Day.
The first Labor Day was celebrated on September 5, 1882. Approximately10,000 workers marched in New York City in a parade organized by the Central Labor Union. Organizers chose early September simply because it fell halfway between the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.
