Word is getting around… I have some big news…. Bec’s Boutique is moving into The Boutique at The Canyon Salon on Thousand Oaks Blvd in Thousand Oaks in the same shopping center as Stone Fire Grill.
Setting up and Breaking down has become more difficult. I kept praying for the right opportunity to come along. I knew what I didn’t want to do before I knew what I wanted to do.
After a rough week with the fires and 3 events cancelled or postponed, reinjuring my back and neck… I was so ready for change. Then a friend reminded me if a post about the space at The Canyon Salon. So I called and made an appointment to check it out. I walked in and there it was… right near the front door. I in ow it is a busy salon with a lot of stylists and other services. Everyone was so welcoming. One of the stylist came over whom I’ve known for over 20 years when she did my hair near our first house. Last time I saw her she shopped w
Th me at an event. It all just felt right. They loved everything I showed them. They had a few others interested, but chose me.
This wasn’t my dream when I was younger;however, it became what I have wanted. I first started in fashion in direct sales, then partnered with Andrea and Jerry to form La Monarca selling off what their clients didn’t want any way I could, I have worked for stores as a manager and stylist. Like a friend said that all of this was my education into this world.
Now I will bring all of that knowledge into my own small quaint space. Steve has always my biggest fan. He always said to us “don’t say why you can’t do it, figure out how you can”. The logo for the Salon is a butterfly… another sign. The original owner passed of pancreatic Cancer. Talking with the manager today, she lost her brother a year ago.
I believe in all of these connections. We are working out the hours that I will be there, but come on by anytime that works for you. They offer so many great services and all have been so lovely!
