Dana's love for the fashion industry began early at the age of 16 while working for an upscale ladies clothing boutique in the luxury sea-side town of Del Mar, California. She holds degrees in Fashion

Design and Merchandise Marketing from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco and a degree in International Business from United States International University in San Diego and studied abroad in Oxford, England and Nairobi, Kenya. After graduation, her adventurous spirit took her to Bogota, Colombia where she lived for three years. While there, she admired beautiful jewelry creations inspired by pre-Colombian gold designs and upon her return to live in California imported the unique pieces and showcased them along side jewelry, she encountered from all over the world, in a jewelry store she opened in the world-famous Hotel del Coronado in San Diego. In the next years followed the openings of two more stores dedicated to retailing designer shoes and handbags. One of these stores was also located in the Hotel del Coronado and the other was located in Del Mar. Along side designer labels Dana also created the DANA STEIN brand of shoes and handbags. In addition to being sold in her own stores, the brand was also sold at other fine specialty stores across the US. Dana's introduction into the fashion-fur industry began in 2006 when she made a personal purchase of a knitted fur garment. With that, a spark was lit that lead her down a path to eventually launch her own brand of genuine fur sportswear in 2010 that has been described as 'adorable and affordable' . The DANA STEIN EVERYDAY FURS collection has quickly found popularity and is currently available at over 300 fine stores across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Clients love her fun and fashionable fur that is light-weight, glamorous, sexy and well priced. Additionally, Dana personally sells her designs directly to her clients via private charity events, fashion shows, country club events and trunk shows all over Southern California and beyond.
