Each one is Dabu printed by hand in Jaipur, India using a centuries old mud resist technique, then dyed with natural dyes like indigo, madder root and turmeric.

We choose organic cotton because we care about what goes into the pieces we wear every day.🌿

It's soft, breathable, and made without the synthetic pesticides and fertilizers used in conventional cotton, which means fewer chemicals going back into the soil and water.

For us, it's really about making better choices where we can. Choosing natural fibers, working in small batches, and creating pieces that feel good to wear and are a little gentler on the planet.

Because what we put on our bodies, and what we put back into the earth, matters.🤍

Hi, I’m Emily 👋🏼 Founder of Guava Lane, mom of two boys, and the person behind all things Guava. 🌺
Fashion has pretty much always been a part of my life. I spent 10 years in buying and merchandising for the Billabong store in New Jersey (now Grog’s Surf Palace), where I learned the ins and outs of retail from Greg Mesanko, a true legend in the industry. When I got married and found out I was having my first son, though, I started craving a slower pace and a different kind of life for our family. Puerto Rico had always felt like home, and with my parents already living there, my husband and I decided to take a chance, pack up our life, and make the move. 🌴
A few years in, I realized how much I missed fashion and the creativity that came with it. But this time, I wanted to build something of my own. Something inspired by the life we had chosen and everything I loved about living here.
And that’s how Guava Lane was born. 🤍
Guava is inspired by island life, but even more than that, it’s inspired by the idea that life doesn’t always have to follow the path you thought it would. You can slow down. You can change direction. You can take the leap and build something completely different.
I hope every Guava Lane piece instantly transports you to your happy place and maybe even reminds you to bet on yourself and create a life that feels like yours.
