This video feels like the truest reflection of what Kendalle Bennett is all about.
People often ask where the inspiration for my work comes from.
The answer is always the same.
It starts in the bush.
Some of my favorite moments are the quiet ones - waiting, watching, listening. Seeing these incredible animals in their natural habitat has changed the way I see beauty. It has taught me patience, perspective and respect for the wild.
When I come home, those photographs become my canvas.
I’ve always felt a responsibility to do these animals justice - to capture them as the magnificent works of art they already are.
I’m not interested in simply putting a print on a dress. Every piece is thoughtfully designed so the artwork works with the silhouette. I want each garment to feel intentional, unique and worthy of the incredible animal that inspired it.
I also think about the woman who will wear it.
I want her to put it on and feel like she’s wearing something no one else has. Something that starts conversations. Something she reaches for when she wants to feel confident, elegant and just a little bit extraordinary.
That’s why I choose to create on beautiful silks and work with incredible makers. Because the artwork deserves it. The women wearing it deserve it.
Kendalle Bennett has never been about fashion for me. It’s about telling stories through wearable art and creating pieces that become part of someone else’s story.
This video is a little glimpse into that world.
Thank you for being here and for following along on this journey. 🤍
