Harley-Davidson has recalled 88,039 motorcycles in the United States due to a defect where the airbox backplate breather port may be blocked by a thin layer of plastic. This blockage prevents the engine from venting excess pressure, leading to a buildup inside the crankcase.
If the crankcase becomes pressurized, oil can eject from the fill spout when the dipstick is removed, posing an injury risk to owners or technicians. Harley-Davidson has already received reports of oil splashing and at least one injury related to this issue.

The recall primarily impacts 2024–2026 models equipped with Milwaukee-Eight engines and a specific airbox baseplate (part number 29000373):
Road Glide (FLTRX): 2024–2026
Street Glide (FLHX): 2024–2026
