There was a time when my girls happily followed us on every woodland walk, eager to explore whatever adventure I chose. As children grow, they begin to discover their own paths, interests, and ways of being in the world, which is exactly as it should be. These days, I’m grateful to have Prince by my side, always ready for another trail, another quiet moment, another breath of fresh air. Our loyal four-legged friends have a beautiful way of meeting us exactly where we are. 🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶‍♀️‍➡️🐾🌿

On this Father’s Day, I am feeling grateful for the men who have shaped our family with love, kindness, and quiet strength.
To my father, thank you for the values and wisdom that continue to guide me. To my late husband, thank you for the love you gave me and for the beautiful memories that still live within us. And to my partner today, thank you for showing up each day with patience, care, and an open heart, helping our girls grow into the young women they are becoming.

Fatherhood takes many forms, but the greatest gift a father can give is to lead by example, with compassion, integrity, and unconditional love.

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who help light the way for the next generation. ❤️

I am deeply grateful to have spent the past few days in Washington, D.C. with my daughters for Tibet Lobby Day, 2026. Together with Tibetans and supporters from across the country, we met with congressional offices to advocate for Tibet, human rights, and the importance of standing up for those whose voices are often silenced. As a survivor of human trafficking, I understand firsthand how vital it is for others to find the courage to speak out against injustice. There was a time when I felt isolated and powerless, and it was the bravery of others that helped transform my life. That experience continues to inspire my advocacy today. As a small business owner, a mother, an immigrant, and an American, I believe we all bear the responsibility to raise our voices for others. Sharing this journey with my daughters was especially meaningful, and witnessing so many young Tibetans step forward with courage, compassion, and purpose moved me deeply. Every voice matters. Every act of advocacy makes a difference. Thank you, International Campaign and SFT, for collaborating and organizing Tibet Lobby Day! 🙏❤️🕊️

Somehow, this jar of Maa Ka Achar, “mother’s pickle”, feels like the perfect reminder of all the quiet love mothers pour into a family every single day. Being back close to my birthplace and memories of my own mother make this especially emotional for me. While I miss my children and husband deeply this Mother’s Day, moments like this remind me how love is often carried through food, traditions, and the little things we almost take for granted until we are older. Today I’m celebrating all mothers — for the meals, the healing, the sacrifices, the invisible labor, and the endless ways they nourish their families and communities.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful mothers everywhere. 🤍

Mundgod, a Tibetan settlement in South India where I grew up, holds countless memories of my early childhood. Every time I return, I experience an overwhelming sense of joy and happiness, breathing the same air and revisiting the same place, even for just a few days. I feel such gratitude for having this special place to call a second home, a shared memory, and a common purpose for our future and humanity. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this place what it is. May it continue to thrive and endure, even as many elders pass on. I hope we can carry forward their hard work and the value of life by making it better, connecting with, and supporting each other.
