Not just one accomplishment, but two!
*sound on for crunchy paper noises*
In previous posts I mentioned, I was working toward paper making, then eventually my own notebook/journal. Weeell, here's the first FINISHED journal! Every bit of it upcycled or recycled products, made by my hands 🫶
I'm so happy and proud of myself for following through with the idea.
With that being said, I'm going to express that I had to drop it for a while because I do not like how you can see the cardboard through the fabric. So today, I will be playing in paper particles, and hopefully have some nifty pictures up later!

Though this is indeed a work in progress. I received the shiny watercolor paints I ordered from yesterday, I'm excited to work with it and hopefully make some progress on this piece.

I've been quiet but busy...early spring cleaning has me acting like a frazzled squirrel 😞 rearranging my environment with seasonal changes seems right and necessary.

Somehow, junk journaling is an easier cleanup than paint....It makes for an easy 'between projects' craft. I do my best to keep the trimmings from all the papers I use. They go back into supplies or, in to the collection bag for the handmade paper I FULLY INDTEND ON DOING..lol

Over the last year, I've learned that you can be equal parts angry and whimsy...
When I'm feeling whimsy, I'll create beautiful things
When I'm feeling angry, I still create. Even if it's *bad*.
Allowing myself to the anger (not just be angry) has been a relief on my inner myself. It's okay to have a lot of it. It's okay to not. Awareness is half the answer. What you do with it, is up to the individual.
Also, relearning how important the fiber arts were throughout history helped to motivate me!
Similar to what others do with podcasts and/or TV shows, but it's historical documentaries on or whatever....😅

I never understood how to answer that as a kid, I would want to say, "I'm just me." But rarely was that enough of an answer, though it wasn't spoken. You could see the concern or confusion in their eyes.
I look back and think, maybe they wanted a description of who I thought I was? Maybe I was supposed to tell them my likes and interests? Seems invasive and redundant considering children are rarely listened to in the first place.
Even though I feel different these days, comfortable in my chaotic ways, knowing I have wonderful people around me who accepts me as I am. I would answer just the same: I'm me, sometimes I like that, sometimes I don't.
