Hello, Friends!

Etsy is going through and deactivating many of our toddler and tinker tray listings.

While we may decide to pivot, the shop will be closing temporarily after fulfilling current orders to decide next steps. Thank you for your cooperation and for your interest in our shop!

With lots of love and light,

Late night musings ✨

While I continue to be in the fresh baby phases of sleep and wake through the night, here are some of my relentless thoughts:

•Sleep expectations and routines for young infants feels yucky and not actually achievable. I am listening to my baby’s needs throughout the need and letting their body lead their routines and experiences. We aren’t failing at a sleep through the night routine. We are following our child.
•Toddlers are extremely capable small beings but should not be rushed into “academia” style learning.
•There are aspects of many other learning styles and philosophies that meld beautifully with a Montessori learning environment and materials. It doesn’t need to be all or nothing to be effective or beautiful.
•There is a place for imagination in a Montessori environment in the early years. 🌈

Just a few more moments ✨💗
Some days, it feels heartbreaking that you will be my last. I’m not ready for these fleeting moments to slip away so soon. Just give me a few more moments before I lay you down to sleep. A few more sleepy smiles. A few more dreamy sighs. Mama isn’t ready for it to all slip away so soon 🥹🥺♥️

We had the best time we have EVER had at of Indianapolis! Sloan spent hours playing sports outside and we loved Tiana’s Joyful Celebration, such a special exhibit! ♥️🎉 I also want to express my gratitude for the clean and very nice nursing room suites! That makes such a big difference in the flow of our day with an older child and a newborn, we are so thankful! 🙏🏻

✨UPDATE✨

I am a Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) certified Montessori Infant/Toddler guide with experience as a toddler lead guide at two different schools. My passion for child-led learning and meaningful early childhood experiences has inspired me to start a small, in-home Montessori program for toddlers. My goal is to serve children ages 18 months to 4 years, providing a nurturing and thoughtfully prepared environment that blends Montessori and Waldorf influences, with a special emphasis on nature and outdoor learning. For the first year or two, I plan to operate out of my home, creating a close-knit, supportive community before expanding into a larger, dedicated space.

To bring this vision to life, I need support to build out the ideal Montessori toddler environment. The funds raised will help me purchase or build Montessori shelves, tables, chairs, work and play materials, kitchen materials for food preparation, outdoor play and nature equipment, outdoor tables, and safety equipment. While I have collected some materials and furniture over the years, I need additional resources to complete the space and provide the best possible learning environment for the children in my care.

I invite my family, friends, former colleagues, and members of the community to donate as they are willing and able. Your support will help create a meaningful, nurturing space for young children at Little House Montessori, where a small classroom of five students can experience deep learning and community building. Early childhood is a critical time for brain development, and together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of these children. Thank you for helping me bring this Montessori vision to life!
