Kiran has an inclination towards art, craft and design. An alumna of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kiran went to Kent State University to complete a course in JacqCAD weaving under the guidance of, Professor Janice Lessman-Moss. Kiran is a keen weaver and textile designer. Most of her scarves have been exhibited and sold at Gail Percy's trunk show , Washington DC ; Gallery 143, Laza

r's Art Gallery and Chestnut Hill Inc. in Canton and North Canton, Ohio. Dr. Richard Peigler from San Antonio Texas, bought ten Eri silk scarves, which will be deposited in institutional collections in USA. Kiran has designed table place-mats, cushion covers and table runners
with the most exquisite digital weave structures using cotton yarns,
for Palette Designs Inc. , New York. "I have donated several sets of wild silk textiles to some entomology collections recently, and the following ones now have one of your eri scarves, with a laminated label giving the details and your name as designer. These sets (eri, muga, tussah, silks from Nigeria, Madagascar, etc.) will be used to show visitors to insect collections (little museums on the campuses), or used for teaching students in entomology labs, or just stored permanently and safely in the glass-top drawers that normally contain pinned insects. The entomology programs/collections that got one of your scarves are Auburn University (Alabama), University of Tennessee (Knoxville), University of Arkansas (Fayetteville), Montana State University (Bozeman), and I have another set ready to send University of Idaho (Moscow). I have kept 4 or 5 of your scarves for myself. They are terrific." By DR. Richard Peigler, Professor in Biology.
