❤️Something for you to know about diabetes and you can be the one to help❤️
🦷GROOMING: People with diabetes are more likely to have problems in their mouths, so it is important for them to pay more attention to mouth care. You can be the one to remind them to brush with a soft-bristled brush after every meal and to floss at least once a day. In addition, you can help check toenails, as they can lead to infection and other problems.
🛁BATHING: Diabetes should always prevent dry skin (except between toes) and they should do a daily check after a bath, which you can help or give them a hand-held mirror for self-check. If they got corns and calluses, remind or help them gently smooth with a pumice stone or emery board. Just make sure they are healing.
👗DRESSING: You need to know that diabetes needs to take care of their feet and diabetes should choose soft leather, lace-up shoes with cushioned soles for good support. Talking to socks should always wear socks that aren't too tight, so they don't hurt circulation.
🥣EATING: It’s important to keep their blood sugar levels as stable as possible. Diabetes should eat at the same time every day, with healthy snacks in between -- or several smaller meals throughout the day. They should be following the meal plan their health care team helps create including portions of carbohydrates at every meal and snack or throughout the day. You can be the one to supervise them or if you are a member of the health care team, you can create recipes for them.
We should always know that diabetes is not alone, because they have everyone around them❤️❤️❤️
