💕 I have prayed about this for a very long time, shed lots of tears, and second-guessed my decision. But it is now time to end our partnership with bareMinerals.
When a company pulls away from small-business customer service, you listen.
About two years ago, the company took away all reps for “boutique stores.” This was a huge deal because not only did we order directly through them, but we also had direct access to education on new launches and someone to go to with issues and questions. We were told we would get them back, so I waited patiently, but we still have not.
One thing I pride myself on when I sell products at Beyond Envy is the knowledge behind what I sell. I can no longer do that.
There are a lot of rules you have to follow when selling a makeup line like this, and things called “A launches” are required. When a new line comes out, we have to buy the entire collection. At times, this costs thousands of dollars. When I had education and support behind it, I had no problem with that. That’s just not the case anymore.
What makes this decision so hard is that I truly love the makeup. We have carried it, and I have personally used it, for 15 years. I constantly have to tell customers items are out of stock. We place orders, and those items never come, yet they are available on the company’s website. It’s so frustrating. A lot of times, they are even discounted online, which I am not allowed to do unless we are liquidating.
I pray you all understand how hard this decision was for me, but it is time for us to part ways with this company.
