Don’t worry I haven’t changed teams entirely 😆
I found a pair of Frye engineer boots at Northern Thrift and they happened to be my size, so they got my wheels turning. There is something to be said about made in the USA quality. I went down a rabbit hole and picked up a few more pairs. The Deborah Deco (gray studded boots) are a size 8 and a wee bit too big, so they’re for sale. The purple Carson boots are probably going to be listed for sale too because they’re a pretty color but I can’t keep them all. I have a couple more pairs too that need a little love before they’re photographed. My Docs will always be my first love, but I t’s been really fun to explore more brands.

Before and after: It’s amazing what a little TLC can do for vintage leather. These boots are branded Antonio Fluxa Inca. From what I can find via Google, I believe they are straight out of the 1970s. The leather was super dried out and needed some love, but once I rehydrated them, it was easy the get the shape back. They still need some detailing, but I think they are stunning platforms 🖤

In case you were wondering about the process… sanded out the scuffs and deglazed the leather, painted green with Angelus...

I rarely sell custom colors, but here’s a pair I just put up on my Depop and Posh. These babies are vintage UK9 made in England 133 10-hole steel toes. They were black, I refinished them green and added a black rub-off finish. I love how they came out! 🖤💚

Check out these before and after pics. They looked solid but the pictures weren’t great. Can you believe how well they cleaned up? Vintage cherry red steel capped toe, 20 hole, made in England, two tone platform commando bex soles with vertical welt stitching. They appear to be from the 1980s with the older circle style stamp on the soles and screen printed hang tags. What’s not to love? They do take a minute to lace up, but it’s worth it. ☠️

No snow here yet but I’m having fun with photo editing. These are my favorite laces and I love being able to make custom sizes. The boots are vintage MIE 18 hole with speed hooks. Can I tell you haw much I LOVE speed hooks? I might buy some loose hooks and convert some of my other 18-20 hole boots that don’t get as much wear because they take so long to lace up. 😆Contact me or check my Depop page for custom laces.
