🖤 FALL MARKET SEASON IS COMING

Something we’ve been quietly working toward for months is finally beginning to take shape.

This fall, Suzanne Lay · Heritage · The Heritage Rebellion · Naked Earth + Co. will all come together in one place.

You’ll find pieces that are:

found.
made.
re-made.
collected.
loved.

Curated vintage and thrifted pieces with a history.

Handmade clothing and jewelry created in small quantities.

Denim and other materials being given an entirely different life.

Earth-inspired goods made to be felt, used, and lived with.

And a few things we’ve been keeping very quiet about.
😉

Because some things are better discovered in person.

We’re bringing the whole world with us this fall—
the clothes, the jewelry, the objects, the stories, the nostalgia, and all the little details that make Suzanne Lay what it is.

Come wander a while.

We’ll be at:
St. Louis VMD September 18-20
And
VMD™ of Eastern Iowa September 25-27

And more to come.

I’ve always believed authenticity is magnetic.

Not perfection.
Not copying what everyone else is doing.
Not trying to make something that looks like it belongs everywhere.

Authenticity.

These jewelry displays started as an idea in my head. So instead of buying what was available, I made them myself.

They’re mine.
They’re imperfect.
They look like stone.
They’re covered in concrete.
And no one else will have anything quite like them.

And honestly? That’s the point.

This is how I want to build every part of this business—from the displays that hold the jewelry to the pieces that fill our space.

I want things with character. Things with history. Things that feel discovered, made, altered, collected, and loved.

Because if I’m building a world, I don’t want it to look like everyone else’s.

I want it to look like ours.

3 pairs of thrifted jeans.
2 new satchel bags.
0 new denim.

I took three pairs of jeans that had already had a life and gave them a new one—turning them into two satchel bags just in time for the Fall Market.

Does this fix the fast-fashion problem?

No.

Am I doing my small part to keep perfectly good materials in use and out of the landfill?

Yes.

And if sharing the process—even just a little—makes someone else look at something they already own and think, “What else could this become?”

Well… I sure hope so. 💫

Because I don’t think creating a better future has to start with doing everything perfectly.

Maybe it starts with doing something differently.

Be a part of the solution…not part of the problem✨

A few days, a few pieces, and a lot of taking things apart to see what they might become.

I’m learning to leave some of the story unfinished for now.

The pieces are being built slowly—layer by layer, detail by detail, from things that already had a life before they found their way here.

I’m not going to show you where this one ends just yet.

Some things are better discovered in person. 🧡

The Heritage Rebellion is taking shape.

We have come full circle💫

Maybe I’ve been making my way back to myself for a long time. 🧡

In high school, I deconstructed a pair of jeans and made them into something completely my own. Everyone loved them—and I never forgot how good it felt to take an idea in my head and make it real.

Years later, I’m doing it again.

Thrifted finds. Old fabrics. Things with history. Taking them apart, putting them back together, and letting them become something new.

The Heritage Rebellion is, in a lot of ways, me finding my way back to the girl who already knew how to do this.

I hope you love what comes next.✨

Making room for what’s next. 🧡

Clearing the rack. Resetting the space.
Letting go of what no longer belongs so there’s room for what’s coming.

The next chapter is taking shape—slowly, intentionally, piece by piece.

The Heritage Rebellion is becoming.✨

Not everything needs to be remade.

Sometimes it just needs to be seen differently.

A little handwork. A little restraint. A little rebellion.

The Heritage Rebellion.
