New has arrived and we will be unveiling the spring collection today!

It’s been a short while since I’ve been in the shop, market week in nyc had my energies elsewhere. But I’ve heard it’s been a delivery extravaganza - with newness from Beatrice B, Prairie Underground, Nicholson Nicholson to name a few.

In all seriousness, the roadwork is a real bummer. We must stay calm and carry on during these next few months of dust and inconvenience. And what better way to do this than together while being well dressed.

Our special little shop is in the midst of an enormous streetscape project! It’s a bit daunting to think of how long OP Ave will be a challenge to navigate, but it’s all in the name of progress. Parking is available close by and with this unbelievable weather it feels like a short stroll is a brilliant idea anyway.

Yet another cold and snowy day here in Oak Park as we bid farewell to January.

February - the month who’s redeeming qualities are its shorter duration and chocolates. Oh, and the creation of Galentine’s Day❣️

It’s also the start of Spring deliveries!! Which, let’s face facts folks, is the undercurrent of hope that the days ahead will be brighter. We all need that right right about now.

New Sessun arrived yesterday, along with a few other collections. We’ll be opening boxes all weekend, so stop in if you’re around!! Also-the OP Ave project is delayed due to weather, so park right in front. Hope to see you soon.

Happy 2026!
Wow, I looked at the Manouche page and realized I haven’t posted I a while. I’m sure by now I’ve dropped off the algorithm cliff and only five people will see this .. My bad.
It just felt like the right time to take pause. Look deeper at what really matters. Family and friends, community, feeling safe, being still, admiring beauty. Even having space in your life to absorb something beautiful is such a privilege, and I feel grateful that my life allows for such space.
Anyway, here are a few aspirations of a shopkeeper for
2026 …
I’ll do my best to offer a safe space
-to unplug
-to love and accept who you are at this very moment
-to tell stories, tear up at some but mostly laugh
-share coffees or take aways from Amerikas
-find joy in a creators vision
-explore color and texture and personal style
