So after the weekend, when I worked sporadically on the saree, I managed to complete the pallu (the part of the saree which goes over the shoulder)

Why should we be satisfied with just 1 peacock, so here came a mirror image to complete the entire width of the saree.

I also started work on the borders.. and added my next love, lotus flowers..

The outcome till now is soo good!!

I love how the color combination has turned out. Used blue, gold and dark magenta..

One more beautiful one of a kind (OOAK) saree hanoainted and sent to a friend from her bestie for her birthday today.

It was not intended, but the birthday girl got her special handpainted gift saree depicting the journey of friendship yesterday (Dec 21), World Saree Day. And she loved it..

What more to say?? I had the privilege to paint and document a lovely journey of friendship spanning over a couple of decades across continents on a keepsake saree.

The motifs are inspired by a number of actual photos shared with me.

I'm sure this gift is going to be cherished for a long long time.

I loved painting the pallu specifically 'cos of the tag line added "Higher Together", where in the friend (the lady who ordered) said that they always lift each other up to do better and reach higher.
How many of us can boast of a friendship like this? May you ladies be BFFs forever and ever..
