🧵 Learning & Mending with Sashiko ✨
As an interpreter, I’m not just helping with language—I’m also bringing my own jeans to repair! This time, I’m learning Sashiko embroidery to mend a pair of jeans that’s dear to my heart. I call them “Father & Son Jeans”—originally my husband’s jeans, they have been patched and repaired every year using fabric from my boys’ worn-out pants. Each stitch tells a story, and each patch adds new memories of their journey together.
