Such a big transition, and I’m feeling all the feels, but most of all, I’m feeling a lot of support from the AW community. I’ve sent out a couple of newsletters now letting people know that I’m closing my namesake label, and the response has been overwhelmingly beautiful. Over the last year, I took a lot of time to reflect on where I am as a designer and where I want to go with my creative work. These past 10 years have been the most fulfilling, and I’m grateful to all of those who’ve helped further my brand including everyone who has bought and cherishes an AW piece. I’m currently running a closing sale with 60% off site wide, and although, I’m 80% sold through at the time of this post, please take a look to see if anything catches your eye for the last time. Working on new styles and giving you a glimpse into the production process. I’ve been working with Daniel for the past 5 years, and it’s very reassuring when you can hit a groove with your contractors. For a process that involves so many steps and moving parts, it makes production a lot smoother. When I asked Daniel for his IG handle, he responded, “What’s that?”

beautiful posters from yesterday’s protest, and some moments that’ll stick with me - making eye contact & smiling with a woman in her apartment window as she showed her dog the march, watching an older man put his hand on his heart as we walked past his house, and seeing another man in his late 80s march with an Abolish ICE sign. I love Oakland so much.

Special thanks to .collective for a great holiday market yesterday. Markets tend to take a lot out of me, but I always leave feeling inspired and grateful after talking to all of my kind customers. I actually stayed up til 2am working on new designs because I was so inspired. Thanks to all of you who said so many nice things about my colors and the softness of the sweaters. One of my customers tried on the Chioma sweater, and as I was watching her, I thought, “I love it so much,” and then she turned around and said the same thing. ♥️ I’m excited to see what the two friends who bought matching sweats do with them, and I got a great recommendation to go see ‘Routed West’ at BAMPFA about the history of quilting. Hope you’re enjoying the rest of your weekend! Time for me to chill and hang out with my pups.
