Our amazing Pre-K 1 and Pre-K 3 teachers wrapped up our Dinosaur Study in the most epic way possible by building a volcano! 🎉

Watching little scientists' eyes go wide as it erupted was pure magic. We learned so much about the prehistoric world, and what better way to celebrate than with a little boom? 💥

A huge thank you to our incredible teachers for making learning come alive every single day. This is what early childhood education looks like! 🙌❤️

Toddler painting day can be described in three words: beautiful, chaotic, and absolutely worth it. 🎨😂

If you've never watched a toddler paint, let us paint you a picture (pun intended):

🖌️ The brush? Used for approximately 10 seconds.
🖐️ The hands? Now the primary tool.
👀 The paper? Optional.
👕 Their shirt, the table, their neighbor, and somehow their ear? All fair game.

But here's the thing, underneath all that glorious mess, SO much learning is happening!

✅ Fine motor skills — gripping brushes and tools strengthens those little hand muscles
✅ Color recognition — mixing colors and watching them change is pure magic to a toddler
✅ Creativity & self-expression — there are no wrong answers on the canvas!
✅ Sensory development — feeling different textures and materials builds important brain connections
✅ Focus & concentration — even toddlers can get lost in the zone when they love what they're doing

So yes, bath time after art time is basically mandatory. But we wouldn't trade these messy masterpieces for anything. 🥰

Learning is so much fun when it feels like a game! 🎲✏️ Our Pre-K 4's are busy with "Roll and Write" — rolling the dice, practicing their letters, AND graphing the results! After filling in their charts, students share which letter they rolled the most and which they rolled the least. 📊

This one activity is packed with so many skills:
📝 Letter recognition & handwriting
📊 Graphing & data collection
🗣️ Speaking & communication skills
🔢 Comparing numbers (most vs. least)

Kindergarten is right around the corner, and our Pre-K 4 friends are getting ready in the most important way by learning all about their feelings! 💛

This week we've been exploring emotions together: naming them, talking about what they feel like in our bodies, and practicing what to do when big feelings show up. Because walking into kindergarten feeling confident, self-aware, and emotionally equipped? 🌟

From "I feel excited about making new friends!" to "I feel nervous about a new classroom" every feeling is valid, and every feeling has a name. Our Pre-K 4 friends are learning that it's okay to feel it all. 💪❤️

Here's what diving into emotions is teaching our almost-kindergarteners:

💛 Emotional literacy — identifying and naming their feelings with confidence
🧠 Self-awareness — recognizing how emotions feel in their bodies

Move over, Shakespeare Pre-K 1 is here! 🦖✨ Our amazing little writers put their heads together and created their very own poems all about dinosaurs, and honestly? We are blown away. From T-Rex to Diplodocus, they brought the prehistoric world to life with their words, their ideas, and their BIG imaginations.

Writing a class poem together is about so much more than rhyming — here's what our budding authors were building the whole time:

✏️ Early literacy skills — connecting spoken words to written language
🧠 Vocabulary building — learning and using new dinosaur words in context
💬 Oral language development — sharing ideas aloud and listening to their friends
🎨 Creative thinking — using imagination to express ideas in a new way

We'll be honest; after a rainy weekend, we were ALL ready for some sunshine! ☀️ And our Toddlers & Waddlers did not disappoint. The moment those clouds cleared, little boots hit the ground running. Fresh air, warm rays, and the whole outdoors to explore — it doesn't get much better than that! 🌿💛

And while it looks like pure fun (because it is!), so much incredible learning is happening every time our littles step outside:

🌿 Sensory development — feeling sunshine on their skin, smelling the fresh air, and crunching leaves underfoot

Watch out world! Our Pre-K 1 & Pre-K 3 students are JUMPING into learning! 🎉 Today our little learners took their biggest leaps and then measured how far they went. From the jump to the ruler, every step was packed with discovery!

Our young scientists practiced counting, comparing lengths, and working together as a team — all while having a blast. It's amazing what you can learn when you jump in with both feet! 🏫✨

🦕 Calling all paleontologists! Our Pre-K 1 friends have put on their explorer hats and are digging into something HUGE — fossils! As we continue our dinosaur study, our little scientists got hands-on discovering how fossils are made and found, just like real paleontologists do! 🦴🔍
Our budding researchers are uncovering so much through this exciting exploration:
🪨 Science & inquiry skills — asking questions, making observations, and discovering how living things leave traces behind
🔍 Critical thinking — examining fossils closely and making predictions about what dinosaur they might belong to
🦷 Vocabulary building — learning big words like fossil, excavate, extinct, and paleontologist
