I haven't posted in forever because I really haven't had anything to post! I've been trying to finish the King sized quilt I started last October and I needed a break. So, I dreamt up this swaddle! It's for baby boy #2 due in December (surprise for those of you who didn't know I'm pregnant lol). I used my regular swaddle pattern but upcycled a thrift store flannel shirt and an old flannel bedsheet I had lying around for the lining. This was my least favorite shirt pattern, but I'm psyched at how it turned out! I can't wait to get the rest of the shirts I picked out finished!

Finished my first blanket with binding! And no...blankets with binding will not be added to my list of items for commission lol. It's way too imperfect and a pain...but for this all scrap blanket for my son I'd say it makes a pretty decent Easter gift! He loves his choo choos!

My latest creation (that can be custom made for you)! I finally solved a daily battle in my house. Most of you probably know it's considered unsafe for a baby/toddler to wear a heavy coat in a car seat. You can imagine putting a coat on and taking a coat off a 13 month old gets very old VERY fast (especially if they're tired or teething). So I did some "research" (see how I spun my pinterest time? ;) ) and found this poncho! It is fleece with a quilted lining and fits most 12 mo. (and probably younger) to 3T according the the article. Here L is safely harnessed in his seat without having to take off the poncho. Let me know if you're interested! (P.S. it comes down to about the knees...he is just sitting in the second picture and I couldn't get him to stand still)

OK that may be a bit dramatic. I made Levi this robe because he is going to be playing baby Jesus at our church and I knew he wouldn't stand for being swaddled. It's the first piece of clothing I've made and it gave me the courage to make myself a shirt too!

I finally made something for myself! I needed more shirts to wear with leggings and finally got the courage to make something for myself. For my first real piece of clothing (post to follow with a robe and diaper cover I made for Levi) I think it turned out ok!

I got pretty busy preparing for Levi's party and attempting to make my own king sized quilt. Well...I'm half way through my own and got side tracked lol! I heard about a baby in need of some warm clothes and blankets and felt led to make this. This is my first official quilt. It's full of imperfections, for sure, but I know God wanted me to bless a little baby girl and show her His love....so here it is!

Swaddles!!! I made these as a gift for my cousin (who I believe has yet to like my page....hmmmm guess it won't ruin the surprise then!) and I'm so excited to give them to her! Levi is a bit big to model these but they fit size newborn to 18 lbs (according to the pattern anyway)
