Special Sound + Cacao Event this Wednesday for the New Moon in Leo 🦁🩷

Happy Monday from Ocracoke! I felt drawn to hop on here and share about our special event this week, as with it being not just a new moon, but also a total solar eclipse.

There is big energy moving this week asking us, who am I when I stop performing who I think I'm supposed to be? What does my body need in order for that truth to become safe enough to live?

And know that this week, unconscious truths will be surfacing within us, asking us a big awkward and vital question of : is the life I'm building, working on, putting energy into actually supporting my purpose, my alignment, soul song? Who I am and what I want?

So many clients + folks I speak with are tuning into how a life, job, or relationship no longer feels aligned, or supportive toward their joy, true essence, health + joy... and now is the time to see what conscious work + releasing can support us in being who we are meant to be.🙏

We've been hosting these special events since February where we sit in sacred circle to discuss astrology, reverently sip Cacao, and receive the healing power of sound... and all who have joined say what a balm they have been to body + soul 🙌

Cacao is plant to support the opening of the heart - perfect for Leo season which is linked to the 🩷 and spine.

"What is it that we need to be reminded of right now?"

This week, I found myself returning to an oracle deck I deeply love : The Divine Masters by KYLE GRAY

I tuned into the energy of the collective as we move into eclipse season...& I drew Quan Yin.

Kuan Yin originates from Buddhist traditions, deeply revered across the East as a Bodhisattva : a being who has attained enlightenment & chooses to remain in service to all of humanity.

She is compassion made form.
She is grace embodied.

As Kyle shares, she holds the same luminous energy as the angels of Western tradition... different name, same infinite love.

She is a newer presence in my life. I only met her a few years ago... and yet, she feels lovingly familiar + gently wise in that pure, motherly love kind of way...

Her message this week, as Kyle Gray writes:

"The best way you can move forward is by going beyond seeking to understand why something is the way it is or someone is the way they are.

It's time to move beyond the behavior, mistakes, or challenges that are happening around you. Don't be pulled into the misery and fear that is coming to you from an outside source. Refuse to operate on that level. Choose to take enlightened action for the sake of your own inner peace."

As I shared in a recent personal post,
peace is not something we find outside of ourselves.. It's something we choose & tune within 🙏

Grace, to me, is similar.
It's the ability + choice to hold not just our own experience, emotions, + being with reverence, care, + love... but to also extend that tender gift to others.

I think we find peace when we embody grace & choose compassion.
Or do we take enlightened action toward grace.. & find peace?

Whether it's the chicken or the egg... Kuan Yin reminds us that we can choose compassion + move from grace + this enlightened action.

So, as you go into next week - how can you offer yourself more compassion for what you're going through?

How can offer grace to the person who was short with you at the store?

We're all on a journey + there are more similarities in our hardships + victories than differences..we may just need to choose grace + compassion bridge the divide🙏

Happy Sunday from Little Rituals + Ocracoke!

We're highlighting today a bath sitz for new Mama's...

The Mama Sitz is an herbal sitz bath made to soothe and support tender postpartum tissues with a blend of traditionally used botanicals including lavender, comfrey, chamomile, witch hazel, white willow, and myrrh.

I have gifted this to many a new Mama bears who've reported what a balm this sitz was for their tender parts after the birthing process.🙏

The 4th trimester + postpartum is not something wildly talked about in our culture, and that's why I try to have some items in the shop, as well as open discussions, about the journey for body and mind prenatal + postpartum. We want all Mama's to feel seen, supported, have what they need to heal, and process this new stage in body + life. 🫶💜🩷

✨ Join us this afternoon as we welcome author, teacher, and High Priestess Tahverlee Anglen to Little Rituals!

Tahverlee will be at the shop at 4:15 for a reading and book signing of her beautiful new release, Sacred Magic of the North: Rituals, Spells, and Gifts of Earth.

The first in her Sacred Magic series, this book is an invitation to deepen your relationship with the land, the elements, and your own inner magic.

Through stories, rituals, and earth-based wisdom, Tahverlee reminds us that our deepest spiritual connection begins by coming home, to our bodies, to nature, and to ourselves.

Tahverlee is the founder of the Moon Temple Mystery School, where she teaches elemental magic, ritual, and spiritual embodiment through courses, mentorship, and one-on-one guidance.

Gray days on Ocracoke are still some of the very best days!

Whether it's a walk on the beach beneath an overcast sky, wandering the village while the rain falls, or staying tucked in with a favorite game, creative project, or a good book... time on the island naturally feels like a retreat - spacious, slow, where simple joys feel deeply nourishing.

One of my current favorite books from our mystical library at Little Rituals is The Gene Keys by Richard Rudd.

It's not the kind of book you read cover to cover. It's a book you return to again and again (this is my copy I purchased 8 years ago!) it serves more as a companion for self-inquiry and contemplation.

Author Richard Rudd weaves together the wisdom of astrology, the I Ching, and Human Design to offer a beautiful framework for understanding yourself with greater depth, compassion, and possibility.

We have a small section of books and self-care cards that invite you deeper into the sacred arts, spirituality, and self-discovery. Whether you're drawn to Pema Chödrön, oracle/tarot cards, Ta**ra, sound medicine, astrology, past life or energy work, there's a book or ritual waiting for you to walk in and find it. 🤍
