a well worn wooden spoon is always an estate sale win for me. at the shop we have a bevy of new, worn, vintage wooden spoons to choose from.

Oaxacan artist, Ana Martinez makes beautiful pottery in a traditional Oaxacan fashion with her mother Ana Maria Alarzon Hernandez. In the kitchen shop, we are lucky to show some of this delightful work of which reliefs of faces are incorporated into each dish. Every piece is unique. There are face mugs for your favorite tea, Bonito coffee or a Mexican hot chocolate. There is an incredible face pitcher that can double as a vase creating an impressive centerpiece. And my favorite is the large bowl which is perfect serve guacamole to your besties. Below is Fred Fisher’s go to secret guac recipe.

Mash 5 Haas avocados to chunky
combine with fork the following:

Ingredients:

6 tablespoons cilantro
1 medium red onion
1 diced tomato
4 seeded diced jalapeño chilies
juice of 1 lime
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

Fold in all ingredients with the chunky avocado and enjoy!
