Wow there are a lot of new faces here! Let me reintroduce myself!! My name is Kayli 👋 and here’s a little about me…

🌟 I’ve been married to my husband, Justin, for 11 years and counting! We have 2 amazing daughters! And 2 dogs!

🌟 I love OKC and happy to call this place home after coming here for college

🌟 100% self taught artist! Mostly work with embroidery and punch needle! Will admit I don’t know what I’m doing half the time, but I loooooove trying new fiber art techniques the most!

🌟 I love listening to romance audiobooks and Amy Poehler’s podcast while I work

🌟 A big tub of movie theater popcorn isn’t safe around me

🌟 I’m in a sewing club (Club Sew-Klahoma you should join too it’s the best), but I’m still very new to using a sewing machine!

🌟 I love gay people and women’s rights and being kind to everyone! 💖

🌟 I love learning new crafts and hearing about your current WIP projects!

🌟 There was a brief moment I sold vintage out of 1969 travel trailer

🌟 I love selling clothes and putting outfits together but i usually am dressed like a comfy mom and that’s okay because i am a comfy mom!

POV finding inspiration, safety and collaboration at your local sewing club 🧵 This special piece was created for the “What does community mean to you?” DNA Galleries group show. I knew I wanted to make something representing the joy and friendships I’ve found at Club Sew-Klahoma! This club has been a vital piece in my creative process as a fiber artist and small business owner. It’s been a positive feedback loop learning new/better sewing techniques, gaining confidence in my craft and filling my cup! It’s a safe place to vent, giggle, share ideas and met with compassion, collaboration and support. I hope everyone finds a creative community. And if you need one…please join us at Club Sew-Klahoma! We meet once a month!
