Are you ready to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial? What a word, right? It means "half of 500 years". They could also have called it the Sestercentennial or quarter millenium, which might have been a little easier to pronounce. At any rate, we're celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and we're doing it with lots of vintage red, white and blue! Adding summer color is on my mind. I walked around my house and decided it was way too neutral...I like to maintain neutral base decor, but I really need to add some color! My booth is full of color this week after a refresh yesterday - there's a great robin's egg blue cabinet, picnic baskets, holiday and more. Hello! I hope you have the Pony Creek Road Vintage Market on your calendar - come visit us on Friday or Saturday - May 15-16 - that's coming up NEXT WEEK (the weekend AFTER Mother's Day, which is Sunday)! We'll have about 25 vendors from the barn to the she-shed - there will be an incredible variety of antique and vintage, along with a food truck for lunch, an outdoor seating area, and great treats for you to take home. It's fun to go junking in the country!

The market is located between Louisburg, KS and Harrisonville, MO (just south of Freeman, MO) on all-paved roads. Just follow the yellow signs! Click on the link to our page for more information.

How do you create a home that you love to spend time in? I try to fill my home with things that I really love...when I walk through each room, the items in that room remind me of places I've been, the people I've been with when I bought them and their form and beauty make me smile. I don't spend a lot for the items in my home...almost everything has been picked up at various sales and cobbled together over time. My house is never "finished"...I'm always finding something to add (which means sometimes something has to be taken away, too.) As a dealer, I run across many wonderful things, most of which I make available in my booths....where I hope I can inspire your curation journey!
