Hi there, I’m Rachel — the heart behind Elsie Rae & Co!

What began in 2020 as a small home decor booth called Elsie Rae Decor has slowly grown into something so much more. It is a reflection of my love for simple living, intentional clothing, and finding beauty in the everyday.

The name Elsie Rae comes from my great-grandmother, Rachel Elizabeth, who I was named after. I took a nickname from each name and flipped them around to create Elsie Rae. It felt like the perfect blend of personal meaning and timeless charm.

What started with vintage home finds has grown into a women’s lifestyle brand focused on helping women feel confident and beautiful in what they wear while embracing a slower, more intentional way of living. As a nurse who spent eight years caring for cancer patients, I’ve seen firsthand how short and precious life truly is. God placed this calling on my heart to create a space that inspires women to slow down, liveintentionally, and find joy in the everyday. It taught me that every moment is a gift and life is meant to be lived fully, not rushed through. I want to help women find joy in the small, everyday moments — even the seemingly mundane ones — because those are the moments that make up a beautiful life. And sometimes, it all starts with something as simple as getting dressed in the morning.

Today, Elsie Rae & Co is more than a boutique — it’s a lifestyle brand rooted in the belief that less is more. I believe in slowing down, romanticizing the everyday, simplifying your wardrobe, and filling your closet with timeless, versatile pieces that make getting dressed effortless and joyful.

Plus size girls, this one’s for you! ✨

These are all coming in plus sizes, some up to 4X!

Not every brand carries clothing in plus sizes, and honestly, I’m so frustrated for you!

I know that a big majority of the clothing industry, especially boutiques, do not offer a wide range of sizes. The reason being is unfortunately that the sizes simply don’t exist. I wish it was as easy as ordering more sizes, but the majority of companies and clothing manufacturers just don’t make them. And if they do, it’s often limited colors, styles, or options.

Even though there is still a lot of work to be done in the fashion industry when it comes to this, the good thing is that there ARE some companies and manufacturers out there that offer an extended size range! I want every woman, no matter her size, to feel seen, included, and excited about what she wears, which is why I’m making an effort to change that at Elsie Rae & Co.!

Not every style I carry will have a wide size range, but I’m committed to doing my best and making it easier for women to find clothing that fits more sizes, looks flattering, feels cozy, and makes you feel confident every day.

The secret to an effortless, mix-and-match wardrobe? The basics!

Basic tops are the foundation to an endless amount of outfits! They are easy to layer, simple to style, and versatile enough for all seasons. A thoughtfully chosen basic can making getting dressed feel easy, simple, and give you a variety of outfits.

A new look calls for new packing! 📦

As much as I LOVE colorful and fun polymailers, I knew I wanted to do something different this time around! Since we’re all about intention, the packaging was no different!

The brown kraft mailers are a perfect for the neutral browns of my color palette. I wanted something that felt a bit more elevated, mature and more of an experience than I had previously.

Every item inside of your order will come packaged in its own frosted zippered bag. Previously, I had some polymailers that ripped in transit, damaging the items my customers had ordered. I wanted to provide as much protection as possible without sending everything in a box.

Everything being packaged in its own zippered bag will allow for me to be able to quality check the pieces better upon arrival and repackage them. While I know there will be things that will get missed, this should help eliminate some of the quality issues I used to have with customers receiving a damaged item. Unfortunately, it’s common to receive damaged items from manufacturers and the only way to get your money back is if it you notice it within a few days. So hopefully this solves 99% of those issues!

It also makes it easier for me to organize everything in my home office (I love organizing 😍) and make sure everything stays in perfect condition! ✨

Also, keep the zippered bags! They can also be used for so many things!

• Travel packing pouches
• Wet clothes/washcloths when traveling
• Toiletry or makeup bag
• Car organizer
• Kids activity packs
• Gym bag organizer
• Kid emergency bag with extra outfit + diaper
+ sooooo many more! I’ll write a blog about it soon to give you more ideas!

And finally, every kraft mailer will be hand stamped to make it customized (and also cheaper than professionally customized, even though I know it will definitely take a lot more time 😅)! My goal is to get the inner frosted bags professionally customized at some point soon, but I wanted to test different bag sizes to determine what sizes work best!

Living an intentional life begins in the morning when we get dressed.

A year and a half ago, I started this boutique to help women feel confident in what they wear. But as my community grew, I realized it was about much more. For years, I chased trends and “must-have” pieces, but even with a closet stuffed with clothes, I still felt frustrated, uninspired, and overwhelmed every morning.

Over ten years of nursing, working in the emergency department and taking care of cancer patients, showed me how short and precious life is. It taught me to slow down, notice the small details, and savor the everyday moments.

I realized a wardrobe that works for you can set the tone for the whole day.

That’s how Elsie Rae & Co. was born. Every piece is thoughtfully chosen to mix, match, layer, make getting dressed easier or live life more intentionally. Same brand, new name, bigger meaning.

Introducing… Elsie Rae & Co. ✨🤍

When I originally first started this brand 5 years ago (shout out to starting my home decor booth in 2020 at a local antique mall), I wanted a name that felt personal and intentional. My name is Rachel Elizabeth, named after my great-grandmother, and the name has been in my family for hundreds of years. I took nicknames from both Rachel and Elizabeth and flipped them, and Elsie Rae was born. It has always felt special, intentional and meaningful. That’s the true heart of this brand, which is why it’s staying. It’s the foundation of everything I’ve built so far, and it will carry forward into this next chapter!

The switch from Elsie Rae Boutique to Elsie Rae & Co. is small, but meaningful. The ‘& Co.’ represents company — the kind of company that makes you feel at home, you share moments with, and walk through life together. Elsie Rae & Co. is not just a business, but a lifestyle brand and community for women who want to slow down, live with intention, romanticize the everyday, and find beauty in life’s quiet, ordinary moments.

When I chose a handwritten logo for Elsie Rae & Co., it wasn’t just for the aesthetic. I wanted something that felt human and imperfect. Today is the day that I FINALLY get to share the secrets I’ve kept quiet for months! ✨

When I started dreaming up my rebrand, I knew I wanted everything to be intentional, even down to the small details. The colors had to feel like the lifestyle I wanted this brand to represent. I kept coming back to the same colors again and again: the colors of the ocean.

When you’re at the ocean, nothing feels rushed. There’s no packed schedule. You’re not glued to your phone. You’re enjoying slow morning strolls or gorgeous sunsets in the sand. You’re just present, soaking in the beauty that’s around you.

And even though our daily real life is full of work, responsibilities, families, and routines, I want this brand to be a reminder that your everyday life can feel beautiful, too. You can slow down. You can romanticize the ordinary. And you can find beauty in the quiet, small moments, in the life you’re already living.
