THE BIRCH TREE IS NOW CLOSED FOR GOOD. Thank you to everyone who came to visit, made purchases, or just stopped by to look. I LOVED BEING A PART OF THE OLCOTT BUSINESS'S .IT WAS AN AMAZING JOURNEY IN MY LIFE. I experienced Gods hand in so many things, people, and activities. It touched my heart how so many people I never knew became friends. It has been my plessure to have a place for family , friends and even complete strangers to come to gather and share their troubles, their joys, their faith, and so many who shared their travel stories. I will always be grateful that I discovered to appreciate olcott in a different way then i used to. .Im looking forward to relaxing with my friends and family, and getting things done that I didnt seem to find time to do while owning a store. I will miss you all and want to thank you all for the kind words of encouragement(you know who you are) that made it all worth it. GOD BLESS

The 3rd annual Mermaid Parade is this coming Saturday. It gets BIGGER and BETTER every year. I personally think its a beautiful,fun, exciting parade. ITS SOOOOO COLORFUL!!! Workers and participants put a great deal of work into it. Rory Calabreseheads it and does a great job organizing and planning it.Gotta love that girl! ITS SO FUN TO SEE WHAT IDEAS PEOPLE COME UP WITH RELATED TO MERMAIDS AND THE SEA. Use your imagination and dress up, OR DO YOUR MAKE-UP ESPECIALLY SPARKLY, even if your not in it ,and come on to Olcott this Saturday June 15th . Parade starts at 4pm so get here early. If you stand near my store,The Birch Tree, on Ontario st.( West of the Village shops) or in front of The village shops ,you will see it all. Im not sure where it starts but i know lots of excitement happens right here in front of my store/ next to the lighthouse. I will be doing face painting ($2)so if you get here early enough,by noon ,come on in to my store "The Birch Tree." ...also GET YOUR GIRLS A beautiful MERMAID DOLL FOR $8.99. A GREAT SOUVENIR TO REMEMBER THIS SPECIAL TIME OF EVENT
