Congratulations Josh!

Game Warden Joshua Tibbetts has reached new heights with the Maine Warden Service with his recent promotion to Game Warden Pilot! In his new position, Tibbetts will be based out of Eagle Lake and proudly serve northern Maine.

Warden Tibbetts’ career with the warden service began in 2008, and he has been assigned to downeast, central, and southern Maine districts. During this time, he was a part of the Incident Management Team, search planning and unmanned aerial vehicle program, and served as a Drug Recognition Expert.

Pursuing his interest in aviation, Tibbetts earned his commercial pilot certificate and ratings needed to become a Maine Game Warden Pilot. He gained experience through the Reserve Pilot Program and has already provided support to the aviation division as needed.

As a Game Warden Pilot, Warden Tibbetts will be instrumental in law enforcement and search and rescue efforts and will provide invaluable support for resource management including data collection and fish stocking.

Please join us in congratulating Game Warden Nick Mangino on his promotion to Game Warden Pilot! 🛩

He has been serving in the Maine Air National Guard since 2008, began his law enforcement career with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office in 2012, and was hired as a Maine Game Warden in 2019. Warden Mangino is a current member of the warden training officer program and has been an active member of our reserve pilot program.

Game Warden Pilot Mangino has hundreds of hours of flight time in fixed wing aircraft under his belt and has been a certified flight instructor since 2018. His military, aviation, and law enforcement experience along with his passion for the outdoors, will serve him well as a Maine Game Warden Pilot.
