Our Story

Redemption Expressions is a family owned small business in Omaha, Nebraska. Ryan Nelson Holt is President/CEO while his mom, Marva Holt, owns a small piece of the company while taking care of some administrative things and being the voice of reason.

Ryan has gone through the wringer of life. Marva donated him her kidney at the age of fourteen when he woke up from surgery with a morphine pump and was off to the races with drugs and alcohol from there. Obviously, that took him down many dark paths, and he lost Marva’s kidney within five years. His dad, Jim, was also a match for donation, and after two years of dialysis Ryan received his second kidney transplant from his dad.

While this had a profound impact on Ryan, he did continue to drink and use drugs. Fortunately for everyone, around two years later God stepped into Ryan’s life in a series of coincidences and misfortunes and Ryan has been sober ever since, which will be fifteen years fairly soon.

Obviously, fifteen years have seen many ups and downs and everything in between. Ryan lost his grandfather and aunt within about four months in 2011. He has had a number of minor medical issues. But, he has formed many meaningful relationships and lives an incredibly blessed life.
