🎄Parade info 👇🏻

PARADE UPDATE!

After speaking with City of Oneonta Public Safety, the Chamber has decided to move forward with the Blount County Christmas Parade as regularly scheduled! The parade will begin tonight, December 10th, at 7pm and will travel along Highway 75 (beginning at IGA), turning on 1st Street North and continuing downtown on 1st Ave East before ending at the McDaniel Gym.

As of 11am, rain chances are forecast to be hovering around 20 percent at 7pm tonight, and we are hopeful the rain will be out of here by the time the parade starts. While we would like to say rescheduling the parade would be an easy task, it simply isn't due to logistics for manpower and resources and finding another suitable date during this busy holiday season. Our only choice would be to cancel, which we do NOT want to do and why the parade is a rain or shine event.

We are excited to see everyone tonight at the Blount County Christmas Parade and are so thankful to our volunteers, floats, walking groups, bands, and more that are sure to make tonight a beautiful event!

Helene Supply Drop-off has been established at designated locations listed on this flyer. These drives are coordinated with local officials in North Carolina to ensure effective support. We are in need of #10 cans of food to feed workers and volunteers, as well as the following items:
