Straps are by far the most common dress alteration. They affect the whole fit of the gown, so it’s important to get it right! Not to mention it’s super annoying when they’re falling down constantly!

This gown had a case of the levitating straps (seen on the left). Once shortened (like on the right) everything just falls into place! A simple fix makes this gown look perfectly tailored.

Let’s talk athletic wear…

Oftentimes these pieces are some of the most expensive in our closets. I alter brands like Alo, Lulu, Athleta, and Nike every week. I’ve done my research and even purchased a special machine to get a result that looks factory finished while also standing up to the wear and tear that athletic wear often gets!

These pants are hemmed, the most common alteration for athletic wear. Other common athletic alterations are seam repairs, making the waistband larger/smaller, repairing T-shirt or jersey hems, and mending small tears. I’m always happy to help you save the pieces you love!

Wishing everyone a happy and safe prom night!

I had the privilege of working on 32 prom dresses this year!!! Im exhausted and my house is full of glitter, but my heart is full! It’s such a joy to help these young girls feel confident on their special night!

Can you see the difference?!

I’m a little extra… and this is one of those projects that proved it. This sweet prom client wanted a little more coverage so I sewed up the neckline, a very common alteration. I could have called it a day but that little seam line in the first picture was driving me crazy!!

So of course I had to scour the inside of the dress for some extra sequins to cover it up! The details matter and you can see in the second picture the results speak for themselves!

I pride myself in making your clothes look better than the day you bought them. And that’s all in the details!

I recently had the opportunity to transform a customer’s 1980’s era wedding gown (puffed sleeves and all 😊) into a sweet little baptism gown for her new grandbaby! Of course, I forgot before pictures 🙄 but I’m pretty proud of the transformation! I feel so thankful to have been trusted with this custom project! ❤️
