An ASL version is now available!

Hi, I’m an author/illustrator who used to be a professional ASL interpreter.

I wanted to make a high quality signed read-aloud to make my book accessible to Deaf and Hard of Hearing kiddos…and all kids learning American Sign Language.

SYNOPSIS: Something This Special is a darling tale about a treasure-loving dragon named Stella, who learns to treasure meaningful moments more than stuff. This book captivates readers with adorable illustrations and relatable experiences, like not knowing where to put your stickers. The central message of parental love instills confidence in children as they read this fun fantasy fable during storytime. Children will love this medieval fantasy and the twist at the end of the book will leave kids and their parents smiling and hugging.

Someone at the Provo farmers market asked if I have drawn any koalas. Other than one hand drawn ornament, the only drawing I’d done was from 2019 that I’m not very proud of. I’ve improved so much in 6 years but those mediocre drawing also got me to where I am today. So…I now present to you a fun redraw of that mother and baby Koala duo.
