Ad/PR: gifted fabric and pattern

Chut Charlotte asked me to review one of their patterns for them. They are a French company and just started translating their patterns to English. I can’t resist pattern testing so I of course agreed to try out their Sunshine Dress!

This Sunshine dress is such a fun summer and transitional dress. I love the two layered sleeves and high-low hem. The wrap style dress highlights my waist and hugs my curves in all the right places. I can’t wait to feel feminine and flirty on outings in this dress! Read all about it, and my fabric choice over on my latest post on Minerva!

I’ve been planning on making this set for ages, but it kept getting pushed to the bottom of my queue. Both were a quick make when I finally got around to it!

Hot off the machine is this pair of by !! Made using a linen blend (yep, I sat in them and that’s where all the wrinkles came from). They are comfortable and stylish and I will be living in them from now on.

Size 6 waist graded to size 8 at the hips. Patch pockets on the back and gusset pockets on the front.
Top is RTW but reminds me of the milkmaid blouse pattern that everyone has been making recently!

This dreamy set was made using gingham suiting fabric, supplied by in exchange for a post. I used by as the top, by as trousers, and topped it off with a label.
🦋
The styling with the turtleneck pushes it into territory! The daisy buttons are a fun detail (White won the voting war- thanks everyone for helping me decide) that remind me of the 70s too.

This month has been celebrating the Pony Tank! I collaborated with them to write this ruffle detail hack!

🎠
The Pony tank is an awesome basic and will teach you some handy sewing skills, like v-neck binding! My blog will teach you a ruffle on the armband all in one piece.
The other collaborators also shared their versions, so check out and to see them!

Just got back from an amazing vacation to Michigan! I was very off the grid- partially because I had no phone service/poor WiFi, and partially because my phone broke near the end of my trip (I have a new one now but I’m missing lots of photos) 😬
I had the best time with my family in beautiful weather! I packed and wore mostly Me Made clothes.
🌸
Here I am wearing my dress. Details about sizing is on an old post on my grid.
I have so many exciting projects lined up that I can’t wait to get started on. Thanks for being here and following my makes!

Full details about the adjustments I made to the pattern to make it work for me, is on a previous post.

Here she is in all her floral glory ✨🌸🌼
I’ve spent actual months working on my because I wanted it to be done correctly and it was WORTH it. I made 4 toiles and I’ll list all my adjustments below (they were extensive. Did I over fit it? One may never know…). This may be my favorite thing I’ve ever made. I can promise that I will be posting more pictures! Here I styled it with my

Size: started with a Medium, ended up sizing down to a Small (fit is supposed to be oversized)
Body: shortened it about 3” (I think). Used .5” shoulder pads.
Back: moved armscye in to allow for more arm movement. Sway back adjustment. Added a hidden box pleat (3” total) to allow full range of movement. Without this I wouldn’t be able to reach in front of me at all.
Sleeves: full bicep adjustment, added about 1”. Added height to the sleeve head to accommodate for the armscye change I made to the back. Gave my arms more room to move.

Fabric: Juliet Rose Canvas
Bright pink lining from JoAnn Fabrics
Pattern: Heather Blazer by (up to 63” hip, plus about 10” of ease)
styled with my Sicily Slip Dress by .masin (up to 56” hip)

My is finally done! I’ve been working on it for ages, tweaking and toiling over the fit. It’s a mix between oversized and fitted to make it functional for me.

A full post about all my adjustments, and a full picture of it on is coming soon. Until then, check out the story highlight on my page for the full process!

✨ my first quilt ✨
A few months ago I decided I wanted to learn to quilt and so began my deep dive on YouTube, Instagram, and various books. I followed (vaguely) a pattern from one of those books and gosh was it a journey!
🌻
I made it using fabric, about 70% of it is scraps!! I bought a few extra colors to use as filler so I could create a gradient.
🌼
I made mistakes at every step along the way (story highlight shows some of them), but that only means I learned a LOT of what not to do. It may not be perfect but I’m so happy with it! I have a way deeper appreciation for quilting and how much patience it requires 💖
Thanks to SO many of you who gave me tips and encouragement along the way. I couldn’t have made it through without you!

It’s launch day for the new pattern- the Basque Blouse/Dress! It’s the cottage core pattern of your dreams, RUN to download it!

I was so lucky to be able to test this. I chose to make the long sleeved blouse version. I love how many mix and match options there are for this pattern! This was just a mock up using cotton muslin, but I love how it turned out. Very wearable.

The pattern was easy to cut and follow, has lovely finishing details, and comes in A/B or C/D cup sizes! I made a size 10, D cup with NO pattern adjustments (a rare feat for me) 🤯 next time I’ll lower the waist dart, but that’s it!
