One of the most valuable traits that was instilled into me early on was to Be Yourself. As a kid, this was a given and never even thought about. But as we get older many outside factors come into play and there are times when we can lose sight of who we are if your not focused.
-
I am forever grateful for two people in my life at a young age, that not only taught me this, but lived it and showed me day in day out. It became second nature and then a big part of who I am. Who we are.
-
I never wanted to be anyone else but a greater version of me. Very simple. I am, and will always be proud of that. In doing so I was blessed to have found a soulmate who is the same exact way.
-
This goes for many aspects of life. Its normal to admire a way someone or something is and shoot for that type of goal. But everyones paths are thier own. So be yourself. Be unique. Be Genuine. Be Original.
-
At home, we encourage our kids to take the road less traveled. Do your own thing and be your own person. No matter what you may he tempted to do. You can never fail by being you.

For Bodybags, We pride ourselves in our different look, designs, booth setups, and overall style. We feel we achieve this and will continue to. In doing so we know we are not for everyone. And thats ok. But we are us. We will continue to be us, for not only us, but for all of you. Much love & respect for everyone who pushes to carve out thier own path. We see you & are rooting for you.

With 2023 already a full month in, we would like to take a moment to Thank everyone for all your continued Support, Loyalty, Love & Freindships. And Thank you to so many who have reached out over the past few months. You are all so Awesome.
-
We have been somewhat quiet lately, but that does NOT mean we havent been creating. We have sooo many new ideas. They have been being put to paper and some look like they will make the cut to a new design very soon in hopes you will all Love them as much as we do. One of the toughest things is being "frozen" with so many ideas.
-
Over the past few months, our eyes were opened greater to take a breather. We realize none of us can Stop time, however, we all have the power & ability to Slow it down.
-
•Become FULLY present with the ones you Love. Go after something your passionate about. Taking time to better yourself is not selfish. Stop waiting & do/get what you want. Always be Learning New things. Smile often. Love Hard. Become the person YOU would love to hang out with.

Look in the mirror & truly look deep within yourself. Be honest on what you see. Not what you think your supposed to see. It may suprise you both physically & mentally. Are YOU your favorite person?
There is a place in many of us that we try to avoid. Dont. Confront & make a choice. The choice of change. The choice to Live Greater & Live Your Legecy.
Make this change so clear of where you want to go that you can see every detail, you can smell it, hear it, feel it. Create the path that it will take to get there and become the person you admire most.
Often Confidence is Very misunderstood & Extremly misinterpreted. Confidence is knowing who the f**k you are & trusting yourself that your own abilities can take you anywhere you want to go. Join us in being Badass!!

As we're going through pics from our recent shoot this shot LEAPED off the screen at us INSTANTLY & became Special. It is a Genuine place of mutual Respect & Admiration locked in time by the 3 of us. This is Bodybuilding!

My first year competing was in 2014 & for years spoke so highly about the connection & commradery athletes share onstage, offstage & backstage. Aside from stepping onstage it was one of the main things I looked forward to.
First show we shared the stage in which was an incredible experience. However, that was also the year that a handful of "careless, disrespectful, kill or be killed" Cliques (they dont deserve to be called Teams) emerged & a bunch of shows following my first were not so great.
I remember crystal clear that not only did noone even say Hello but many went out of thier way to make others feel out of place! Many got caught up in this & it was sad to see. I will never forget the shows, the teams, & the girls. At that time it got in my head, made me angry & Yes it hurt. That was then. I have grown in many ways & since become bulletproof backstage. Your placing will not make you a better Human.
I have always made it a point to Smile, say Hello to others backstage, offer to take a pic for them, or pay a compliment. I NEVER want anyone to feel the way I did that year & possibly miss out on a truely amazing experience.
The "Cliques" I despised are no longer around (shocker) & majority of the girls fell off the map. Noone really remembers how you placed but they will always remember how you made them feel. Respect to the Teams doin it right!
My Mom was Strong & Confident. We raise our Daughter to be Strong & Confident. Strong & Confident Women always lift each other up. Strong & Confident Women are built to push others to be thier best & to shine bright.
Thank you Queens for straightening each others Crowns!
Remember, you will NEVER have shade on you when your the Sun!

Another inspired repost after speaking with OG Roger Stewart this past weekend at the . And another glimpse of my history
Venice Beach, CA. 1996. This shot was taken right before heading to the airport to go back home to NJ. I turned the car around and drove to this spot to get one more pic. Up until that point I had never felt more on top of the world. The feeling was overwheling with such pure raw postive energy.

About 2 weeks before I had competed in my first mens open show after a year off to improve. The NPC Suburban BB show.
This was a Right to Passage type show in my area and didnt do as well as I planned. *Thats another post.

I had to reset myself. Remember why I was doing this and fall in love with it all over again. Venice was the potion to do just that. If you were an artist, performer, actor, and 1million % a bodybuilder in the 90s, Venice was where it was at.
-
It was one of those magical places in which you felt the vibes running through your body the second you arrived. Walking through the doors of Golds Gym Venice was like walking into a royal castle from medevil times. Plus the ppl you rubbed elbows with, I either just saw on TV or in the mags.

That week I had trained with people whos posters were on my wall. Got to meet, got to know and went to lunch with some amazing people that were on top of thier game who made me remember who I was and what I could be. There were no egos, no hidden secrets, and none were above any one else. I say it alot but it was a big family looking out for one another and wanting everyone to succeed. They also made me aware to live in each moment of my journey bc the stage time is quick.
-
Surrounding yourself with others who are living out persuing thier own dreams is so important to achieiving your own. The train is in motion and its up to you to join in and help move it along. Its contagious and addicting. And sometimes if your not Mindfull you can miss out on something great. Putting yourself in a setting in which others are performing at a greater level than you is the most efficient way to fast track your progress. Your expected to do the work needed to move forwar
