~Planning with purpose ~
Today, let's dive into the richness of Scripture to uncover the biblical foundation for planning and vision. The Bible is not just a spiritual guide but also a practical manual for living a purposeful life.
Proverbs 16:3 – "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
This verse teaches us the importance of aligning our plans with God's will. It's not just about making plans but about surrendering these plans to the Lord. In our modern lives, this can be reflected in praying over our daily tasks, setting goals that honor God, and being open to His guidance in every step. When we commit our plans to God, we acknowledge that He is in control, and we trust that He will help us to establish these plans in a way that glorifies Him.
Habakkuk 2:2 – "Then the Lord replied: 'Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.'"
Habakkuk shows us the importance of not just having a vision but also making it clear and tangible. Writing down our vision, goals, and dreams is a powerful way to bring clarity and focus to what we feel God is calling us to do. In today’s context, this could mean journaling our aspirations, creating a vision board, or setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals. By doing this, we are more likely to remember these goals, pray about them, and take action towards achieving them.
These scriptures remind us that while God is ultimately in control, He also calls us to be active participants in His plan. We are encouraged to plan, to dream, and to envision a future that aligns with God's will. As we embark on our planning and vision creation, let's remember to do it prayerfully, purposefully, and with a heart open to God's leading.
Let's Start the new year off strong by planning ahead with a vision board! Let's map out our goals, dreams, and aspirations, aligning them with God's purpose for our lives. Together, we'll manifest His blessings! ✝️
