After more than six incredible years in our sweet College Park storefront, we’ll be moving out of our space at the end of this month. Our last day will be June 30.
This move is bittersweet, to say the least. This community, my community, has been so good to us. So many memories were made here - from watching my daughters grow up in the shop, seeing your kiddos grow alongside them, and forming dear friendships that I’ll cherish forever. This space will always hold a big piece of my heart.
While we’re not exactly sure what the next chapter of Yaya + Lou looks like, we do know that our story isn’t over.
Starting July 1, we’ll continue to serve our community online.
Here’s what you can expect:
– A local drop-off spot or complimentary shipping for second-hand submissions
– A pick-up location for online orders
– Free shipping on orders over $100 and a $6 flat rate for everything else
Behind the scenes, I’ve run through every “what if” a million times -
What if I lose momentum?
What if people forget about us?
What if the relief is overwhelming?
What if this feels more like an ending than a beginning?
But my heart keeps coming back to the same place:
What we’ve built together matters.
Yaya + Lou matters.
And I’m not ready to stop.
I’ll be sharing updates along the way, but my dream is to find a cozy 500 sq ft space where we can continue curating meaningful second-hand pieces for our community and beyond. Whether it’s a shared co-space or the coziest little storefront, we’re open to where this takes us.
