Some people I have met in the Socia Dance Community love Kizomba and others can’t stand it.

It is the more challenging dances to me over Salsa and Bachata and that’s what makes me want to master it.

I had a partner tell me Thursday night that I should dance more Bachata because I am better at it than at Kizomba.

I wasn’t sure if this was a compliment or not! I mean I appreciate him saying that I danced Bachata well but anyone that dances Kizomba will tell you it can chew you up and spit you out. Sometimes you leave a dance feeling like a Million bucks and other times you want to quit trying all together.

I simply replied with “Thank you, but that’s exactly why I attempt to dance Kizomba the most because it’s where I need the most practice!”

I know that Kizomba music (Ghetto Zouk, Tarraxina, Urban Kiz, Semba) what ever the particular song is actually... moves my body and makes me desire connection that I have found only in Kizomba.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for the Kiz Scene!
