There’s no way to have ever imagined what the last 10 years would bring us as we started this journey across the country with a handful of necklaces and a bag full of tank tops with our very first designs.

To all my creative allies and hungry entrepreneurs that have an idea in your mind and a vision in your heart… take that leap of faith. Go all in on something even bigger than your vision and yourself. It’s never the perfect time where the finances will line up or make sense. Every move you’ll make will seem irresponsible and like your gambling (even after year 10). There’s no formula or pattern to try to follow. It changes every year and many of those years will feel like your last.

But… always remember, time is short and what we do with it matters greatly. 10 years is nothing in the grand scheme. Sometimes it feels like we are just beginning.

Spend and invest this most important asset on others. The rest is sure to follow but will be nothing like your vision.

So to all my small business families and friends, cheers to you for staying faithful today and to everyone that has been wanting to take the chance, keep showing up. You have something to give too.

UPDATE: Currently 2 hrs from home in FL and filled with an immense amount of gratefulness.

I learned this weekend that I’ve got friends when I’m in low places.

With everyone’s support and prayers, our expenses to get back home from Iowa were totally covered praise be to God!

I can’t thank everyone enough for giving without hesitation and strengthening my faith. You all have reminded me how much being a giving person in this life is essential to who we are meant to be. You have taught me more clearly on how we are to spend our lives on others.

I’ll never forget this weekend in Iowa and how no matter how dark it is on a lonely county road there are good folks out there willing to leave the light on. Always. Thank you everyone.

Drew for the rescue pickup, Monroe county for all your late night volunteers at the fire Dept, Scott the local Sheriff who drove us to our motel, and the random lady who slowed down right after the wreck and called 911 for us.
