These hand painted beanies were inspired by the summers I spent in Maine, my dads photography , and my own personal adventures through nature. Some of my earliest memories outdoors were in Maine with my Grandpa Dean; taking my brother and I fishing on the pond, bird watching in the forest, and hiking in the mountains.

Cost has always been about cultivating community through culture, whether it be music, sports, or design. Many of our designs depict black culture and black people. For that reason, it is our responsibility to acknowledge our privilege, give back, and open up.

The years of circumstance leading up to George Floyd’s death and the days that followed have shown us that it isn’t enough to simply “not be a racist”. We have to do more and become more.

We’ve donated $100 to and $100 to the of Brooklyn, NY (), where our studio is located.

We realize this is a small gesture but we hope our participation encourages another.

We’re taking a break with our Summer collection to work on something for the movement. In the meantime, we want to extend free graphic design work in support of BLM and remind you our DM’s are always open for conversation.
