Last night was exactly why I opened this bookstore.

A room full of readers, meaningful conversation, new connections, and the opportunity to support a talented local author.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Meet the Author event with Dwan Pitre Wyles, Historian/Author. It was such a pleasure hearing the stories behind Sweet Sugar, learning about the research and inspiration that brought the book to life, and watching readers connect with both the author and her work.

Thank you to Dwan for sharing your time, your story, and your passion with our community. And Thank you to everyone who spent their evening with us. Whether you came to meet the author, discover a new book, or simply enjoy being surrounded by fellow book lovers, you helped make the night truly special.

As I looked around the room last night, I couldn't help but feel grateful. A year ago, events like this were just ideas and dreams. Now we're filling our little corner of downtown with books, conversations, and people who love stories as much as we do.

My heart is full.
