This post cannot come near to expressing the many emotions I have felt over the past few days as we closed the location for Battle Boutique, but I’m going to try to share some of my thoughts with you.
Gratitude-so thankful for the people that have served, donated, prayed for us, invested time and energy into the boutique, worked at the boutique, and have just “shown up” no matter the cost.
Humility-I’ve learned so much over these past 7 years about the importance of people that come alongside you. I have truly depended on the care and support and time from others over these years. I could have NEVER run this boutique by myself…not even from day 1 over 7 years ago. I would’ve had to quit my full time job in order to run this, especially over the past year as we increased in our activity at the boutique.
Empowerment-I immediately felt empowered from the moment God have me the vision for Battle Boutique over 7 years ago. I could not believe He would use me to start such a special community for cancer patients. I have never regretted one single second of my time working for The Lord at Battle Boutique. It has been a true honor from the very beginning.
Sad-I’m so sad for the community I won’t be serving at this time. Im sad for all the amazing conversations I won’t be able to have at the boutique now. I’m sad that I won’t be able to serve alongside the dear friends I’ve made over the years at Battle Boutique. I’m sad I’m not able to offer a place for donations from cancer patients now (more to come on this😉).
Excitement-I’m excited for the next season in my family. I’m excited to spend time w my family over the weekends. I’m excited to welcome my new grandbaby into the world within the next month. I’m excited for whomever God leads to start something new for the cancer community 🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻

Dear Friends💜

Thank you for all your support over the past 6 years for Battle Boutique and the mission behind it. Your support is the reason the boutique even exists! I could never express my gratitude enough, to show you how much you have meant to me and how much you will always mean to me. I’m humbled and grateful that I’ve been allowed to run Battle Boutique for the past 6 years.

It’s with bitter sweet thoughts and emotions, I have decided to close Battle Boutique. While I’ll always have a passion to serve the cancer community, the time has come for me to find another way to serve. Many things have changed over the past year and God has recently shown me that now is the time to release the boutique. It was never mine to begin with. It has always been God’s and the community’s boutique. You have given me the opportunity to serve a vulnerable community and I will never take your care and support for granted.

What’s next?
I am planning to have a celebration and close the boutique on 04May2024. This will be right at the 6 year mark for it being open.
I will be selling as much as I possibly can over these next two months at extremely low prices. All sales will go towards any outstanding bills the boutique might have and if there are any funds remaining, Battle Boutique will donate to another local non-profit organization, Peace Out Cancer Chair. Any unused cancer items will be donated to local nonprofits.

Current Need?
Your continued support! I hope to finish well and finish strong. I’m hoping to sell as much of the items in the boutique that I possibly can. Ways you can continue to support: shop, share and send.
Shop-Please stop by during the next couple of months to shop. Our wigs are $10, new turbans are $10 and $7 and used turbans are $3, jewelry is $1 and most everything else is $3.
Share-Please share any posts that you might see posted by myself or the boutique or another friend that has shared.
Send-Please send your friends to us to shop and just check out what we have. We need a lot of foot traffic in order to get the items sold.
