Dreams In The Dark! 🤘🏼Have the cassette.

On this day in 1989, BADLANDS released their self-titled debut album. After six years with Ozzy Osbourne, Jake E. Lee branched out to form a band that seemed worlds apart from the pervasive glam metal that was dominating the scene at the time. With Ray Gillen on vocals, Eric Singer on drums, and Greg Chaisson on bass, Badlands labored to produce one of the most underrated albums of the decade. The songs are much more akin to Led Zeppelin than anything Jake E. Lee did with Ozzy, but if you're looking for a more inspired sound, you should do yourself a favor and revisit this little masterpiece.

Fun Fact: Ray Gillen and Eric Singer had previously played together in Black Sabbath (albeit briefly) before joining Badlands.

Fun fact, Julia had the side hustle of taking senior pictures in high school. I now realize the urgency to ship the DSLR to her after seeing what the did to Brandon Cutler so she could use his camera! 😵
