Most people that know me know I’ve been painting and hand lettering for years and in a variety of ways. So, no, I don’t only paint sports balls. It’s just an avenue I’ve enjoyed lately after I was asked to paint a bunch as gifts. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
I took a big break from doing much of any of this while I focused on balancing a part time job and working on my organizing business. I took an even bigger break once we added baby #4, when I also really took a break from organizing too. I’m now 5 years into this “break” and the call to paint/letter these balls has sparked something back up in me. I’ve been all over the place with the stuff I’ve dabbled in and where my interests are, but I’ve prayed to God for some time now to show me where my time is best spent. The peace, joy, energy, and excitement I’ve felt lately tells me this is where He wants me right now. It’s no coincidence I vividly remember Sr. Mary Timothy complementing my handwriting as I learned cursive in the 2nd grade. Not many memories have stuck with me. I NEVER could have imagined it would one day be a source of income or something that brings me so much joy! ​​​​​​​​

The support I’ve gotten has been so huge and insanely appreciated and has kept me booked out a month in advance (I only paint on Fridays). I have big faith that God is lighting this path for me and for the first time in a long time feel excited about where this could go. I paint for my first college coach this month 🤯 What’s next? Bring on the connections, guys! I’m ready to use the gifts He has blessed me with and MOVE MOUNTAINS 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Surprise! I do still organize 😆 I figure it’s high time I post a before + after. Play rooms are one of my favorites to do. This was one of those projects where the mom and I were able to surprise her daughter and collaborate on a whole new room plan.

When you work with me, I can either come in and get straight down to the nitty gritty and dig in or in this case, come up with a plan in advance. As you can see, it was totally needed on this project! There were just a bunch of plastic bins and items on the floor, so we opted to make the room a little more fun + inviting.

I sent mom my ideas and links for suggested products, she purchased and put together, and then I came in and made sense of where everything should go and made it neat + pretty. Now Madeline has a space where it’s easier to find items AND put them away. Plus it actually feels like an intentional play space 🎉🎨🖌🧸

Happy 1st birthday to our precious boy. It’s hard to believe it’s been 1 whole year since we had you. It’s been a year full of pure love, joy, and magic. You’ve completed our family in ways we never knew possible. But mama ain’t gonna lie. It’s also been a difficult year. 4th baby is supposed to be a breeze, right? Roll w the punches and anything goes. That, we’ve done for sure.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ve spent many a night at ball fields, seen your share of days at the gym for volleyball, cheer, or basketball, been passed around like a rag doll to anyone and everyone, waited in parking lots w mama while feeding, and more. Bc of that you’re one easy going dude, but it also meant we sacrificed much of a schedule for you and put off starting solids foreverrrr. Mama started co sleeping and feeding you fairly early on in order to get more sleep, but you took it and ran w it, bubs. Took it and ran w it 🥵 It may wear me out at times, but it also made my day to day breastfeeding journey much easier w you than it was w your sissies. I haven’t had to fight nearly as hard to keep my supply up AND I’m quite certain it contributed to making you THE snuggliest of all of our bebes. I didn’t think a baby could get any more snuggly than Dylan was but boy, you’s the bees knees.

Dish out those lovins, sweet boy. Ain’t nobody in your world gonna deny them. You are ridiculously loved and rotten. Your sissies fight over you - whether that’s bc they want you or don’t want you 😆 You’re the definition of a mama’s boy, but it’s clear you love them just as much as they do you and daddy as well. What a bittersweet year it’s been, soaking in all that is you and all that last baby deliciousness. Too many moments to count where time stood still and I told myself to etch this in my memory forever 🥰

Full circle moment over here last night 🥰 I’m sure these 2 hoodlums have no idea their moms shared many a grade school sleepover too. I’m just thankful Lauren Martin McCrary (and Renee Taylor for that matter) put up w me as the younger kid a grade below, even when I stole her back to school tennis shoe lewk in the 7th grade. Come to think of it, that may have been what did me in 😆

I can only hope Everly and Lulu create many a memory over the coming years like we did 🤞🏼 Gave Brad a good laugh bringing up a few that came to me last night!

I’m not sure how my baby girl turned 5 on me so quick. What is it about the age of 5 that makes me so sad? Baby stage is far gone and 5 somehow solidifies the end of the toddler stage, I guess. And Kindergarten comes this year. God I love the years up to this age. SO hard. I’ve dreaded this day, but my life is filled with so much joy bc of this kiddo and I know that each new stage as they grow has its own beauty. Lord, I pray that I can be the best version of myself for them so that I can help guide them to who you created them to be. Motherhood is so beautiful and so bittersweet and I’m so grateful for this gift. Now someone stop me from pumping out more bebes so that I can just keep living the baby/toddler stage 😆

Kinda blew my mind when I thought back to how long it had been since the 4 of us had all been together. Like I don’t even want to put the number that came to mind out there bc it made me sad. Regardless of how long it had been, things sure fell right back into place w an ease that only college roomies likely could. I’ll spare the others and the world the photos from the car ride home w our trusty driver Brad, who may as well have been our 5th College St roommate 😆

I made the clipboards for the girls for Christmas, but added the other items to make it an all-in-one kit. Can’t say I loved all of their supplies floating around before either, so I had to do something about it. No surprise there, right? 🤓

My 10yo self would be completely geeking out over one of these. I took my works in progress with me everywhere and this would have made it so much easier!

I’m always looking for activities to keep my kids engaged and creating that do not involve a screen, so I’m sure hoping they get as much use out of this as I would have. They at least say they love it and are more excited about making bracelets now!

They even think other girls their age would like to have one of these. What a super fun summer gift for your girls or a bday present for their besties! 👯‍♀️ Friendship bracelets are having another moment, so I totally think it’s time to revive the DIY version.
