It's getting hot out there! 🌡🔥

A lot of patches are no problem on outerwear like hoodies, but when it's pushing 90 degrees and everyone is in a t-shirt, you need to keep your patches lightweight.

By utilizing negative space and cut outs within your design, even full chest sized designs like the one seen here, can work on a t-shirt. 🐯

Have you guys ever seen these before? Check them out and comment which is your favorite and we'll post some examples of actually stitched out designs.

1. Brushed Chenille - For an all over fuzzy appearance. Super touchable.

2. Space Dye Chenille - Uses specialty thread that has segments of different colors. Use three threads but look like you used nine.

3. Chainstitch Chenille - A specialty embroidery technique that we've applied to traditional chenille yarn. Very old school.

4. Banded Chenille - Blended thread colors throughout the design to get a subtle, or not so subtle, transition.

Do you have your summer vacation planned yet? These will help you look even better than the scenery when you get there.

1. Santa Monica: Mesh on printed satin. Texture up top and shine on the bottom. This would look just as good with the printed colors on top.

2. Nantucket Island: Embroidery with a chain stitch edge and sunrise. From an ordinary stitched patch to a little something extra. Use decorative stitching where you can whenever possible, because why not?

3. Laguna Beach: White satin over printed twill. Adding that extra layer on top with the satin really adds depth without increasing the weight of the patch too much.

4. Cape Hatteras: Suede on printed suede. Works even on the beach.

5. Wolf Creek: Single layer of printed twill: Crisp with just the right amount of printed wear and tear. Lightweight too, important when running away from bears.

This is a prime example of how you can take the same wordmark, apply different materials / techniques, and end up with radically different looks.
