Final step before I take a break to clean six inches of snow off my car - I've covered the staff in watered down wood glue to prime it for painting. I may add another coat depending on how much this gets absorbed by the foam.

First time using a PVC pipe for a prop before. Lightweight, inexpensive, and very easy to bend with a heat gun. I added a foam blade to the end, coated in wood glue. The person I'm making this for is very tall, so the staff is going to be around 7 feet.

The scabbard is all EVA foam and wooden dowels. Both pieces are just about ready for painting.
