Today we honor Juneteenth — a celebration of freedom that was delayed far too long.

On June 19, 1865, news of emancipation finally reached enslaved Black people in Texas—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. That delay reminds us: freedom delayed is freedom denied.

Juneteenth isn’t just history—it’s a mirror.
