May 5th is Day of Awareness for our Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives. Repost ❣️✨

“Native Women, as well as our Girls, LGBTQ+, Two-Spirit and Non-Binary Relatives are at risk of experiencing violence at rates far higher than the national average.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This epidemic and crisis has roots in colonialism, and has impacted our relatives across Turtle Island, throughout North, Central and South America.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, we hold space for our relatives who have suffered at the hand of this epidemic, and send our prayers to bring healing to all of our communities affected by ongoing violence and trauma.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please take action today by sharing, advocating and donating to organizations that are on the ground fighting to end this epidemic. We will be sharing resources and organizations in our stories all day long.
