Experimenting with new materials. Acrylic bamboo handles and snake skin patent leather. The handles were a bit difficult due to me having to drill out the slots for the hardware. Overall I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

I'm horrible about keeping up with social media. I promise to upload my latest work. I'll continue with the table. I dug out my parent's old dinning room chairs from storage and found the old table stand I used in college. About 4 hours of chrome polish later they came alive. For now, I'm using our patio cushions for the pads.

I brought some wood home from a 200 year old beetle kill Spruce that stood less than less than 100 feet from the waterwheel. Yes, the waterwheel of Waterwheel Leather Co. I decided that a live edge slab dinning room table was in order. Actually not true, my wife decided we needed one. Anyway, here's a snapshot of the journey. Enjoy!!

She's done!! I so wish there was a function on social media that allowed everyone to smell the leather. Everytime someone comes into the studio, the smell is their 1st comment.

The details. Handles that take 3 days to make. Like tires on a car, the only thing that touches the ground. The handles are the only thing touch the client. A few more coats of edge coating until they get attached to the Weston Weekender.

I messed with Texas!! Texas won a few battles but in the end I won the war. This custom shotgun case landed in Dallas, Texas. It actually holds two guns. Buckles hold both end caps and a hidden divider with synthetic sheep skin keeps the guns separated. Completely hand stitched and just over 5,000 holes punched. The customer's brand was laser engraved and added for a custom touch.

Switching gears and not messing with Texas. This will be a custom shotgun case that's will be heading to Dallas. Of course the name of the leather is Cowboy Copper.
